My Secret Love

Based on a true story , Maureen and Rose were close friends but their relationship was never talked about in the 1940/50’s. When Rose find Maureen again she has Alzheimer’s and their relationship faces yet more challenges.
This project was developed by QUAD as part of Shine a Light Ava worked with Seen Ya Rights over a period of a year to develop the script and perform a rehearsed play reading at Derby Theatre, the theme of LGBTQ themes within residential homes was further developed in award winning short film The Carer written and directed by Christine Parker.
