June 2026 will see the return of Sam Hoye from Way Too Cool with Ava Hunt to deliver drama and performance workshops to support year 6 pupils with transition to secondary school.

Research has demonstrated that transition to secondary school can be a challenging time for some children*. This fun, educational, participatory experience will support literacy and oracy skills, encourage communication that can resolve conflict within relationships, wellbeing, and compassion for self and others.

The workshops will contain scripted scenes for the children to act in, drama exercises to participate in and short performed scenes and songs to enjoy critically reflecting on.

Tour date: 11th to 19th June

Length of workshop: 1 hour and 15 mins

Delivered in either a large cleared classroom or hall

For up to 30 pupils

Please email for remaining dates and fees suitable for your school: info@avahunt.co.uk

These workshops are being supported by Amber Valley Borough Council.
