Ava Hunt Theatre is excited to announce the appointment of Rowan Blake Prescott as our new Producer, bringing a wealth of experience, exciting new ideas, and creative energy to our team. Rowan joins us with an excellent track record in producing theatre for young audiences and we are thrilled to have him join the company to work on Way Too Cool this Summer.
Rowan’s career has included working for a wide range of companies including Theatre Centre, one of the country’s leading companies creating theatre for young audiences nationally. “We are very excited to have Rowan join our team,” said Artistic Director, Ava Hunt. “Rowan’s experience and training will be a great asset to the company as we return to touring into schools for the first time since 2019. The post Covid years, have seen a significant squeeze on school budgets, government cuts to the arts, and a highly competitive field for foundations, making it a challenging field to produce work in.”
As Producer, Rowan Blake Prescott will oversee working closely with schools, and teachers tour booking and working closely with our creative freelance team for the tour in Summer 2025. “I’m incredibly excited to be joining the company” said Rowan Blake Prescott. “I am looking forward to working with Ava and the team on such a great piece of work, taking theatre straight into primary schools and opening doors for meaningful conversations amongst young people transitioning into secondary school”
