Real For Me

What is someone really thinking or feeling?

What do we really want in our relationships?

How can we say what is Real for Me – what is safe for me?

Real For Me is a Key Stage 4 teaching resource that supports schools to deliver the new RSE curriculum with actors filmed speaking the verbatim words of young people, teaching resources to develop the themes of:

  • Relationships
  • Social media
  • Consent

Real For Me offers teachers the opportunity to work with young people to create a safe space in school corridors.  Recent research together with higher numbers of reports of sexual assault in schools, have contributed to the need for innovative ways to support young people to develop safe, and supportive environments to discuss these important issues.

Real For Me has been developed in consultation with teachers, young people and Derbyshire County Council Improvement Services.  This package would have been live theatre experience, but, due to COVID restrictions, has been transformed into this FREE teaching resource launched on Relationships & Sex Education Day 24th June 2021

The resource will consist of:

  • a link to the footage
  • a teaching pack with lesson plans, drama exercises and discussion points that lead directly from young people’s voices
